The Health Commision History

The Catholic Health Commission in Mutare operates as a vital branch of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mutare, dedicated to collaborating with communities to implement health-related programs through various health institutions and parishes. Its mission is to provide quality healthcare services, enhance human dignity, alleviate suffering, and fulfill Christ's will in the healing ministry. The Commission works closely with the Ministry of Health and Childcare, other governmental ministries, and NGOs addressing HIV/AIDS and broader health-related initiatives.

Established in 2005, the Commission aims to coordinate all health-related activities within church health institutions while also sourcing financial and material support to ensure smooth operations and uniformity across services. Although it functions as a church program, it is not registered as a welfare organization; rather, it complements the efforts of both the church and the Ministry of Health and Childcare.

Through its initiatives, the Commission strives to uphold the dignity of individuals, particularly vulnerable populations, ensuring that everyone has access to essential health services. Its commitment reflects a holistic approach to healthcare, integrating spiritual care with physical and emotional support.
